Consistent buys and hold long term you will see growth. Just give it time. I’ve been consistently buying into some funds for several years. Don’t sell if you don’t need the money it will just create a taxable event

ETF stocks. Exchange traded fund stocks. That's new.

Just buy them and hold them. They are less volatile than individual stocks, so you won’t have massive 80%swings up in a day of trading but you also won’t have 80% losses in a day either.

They are not get rich quick plays so if you are trying to retire this week, you might want to go out all of your money in one of the penny stocks in the other thread. They are, however, relatively safe plays to build your wealth over time. Again, buy and hold.

That being said, you need to pick the correct etf to buy and hold. The safest play will be to put 1/2 in vti and 1/2 in vxus and call it a day. You can add a little more aggression with ARKW, YOLO, ARKG, or QQQ.

No need bro. I meant it as nothing more than a joke. Was just funny when I read the acronym out loud to myself. I knew what you meant.

Currently have QQQ, SPY, XLV and IWF. Plan to keep these for the long haul and intend to buy shares as I go. Any must haves besides these?

Seems like the ARK ETFs have a higher expense ratio at 0.75%, comparatively speaking. Does that concern anyone? Especially when putting in 25K, 50K, etc.

I haven't done the math on the expense ratio, but my thought has been that it's worth it considering the gains.

When you compare the 1mo, 6mo, since 3/18/20 "bottom", 1yr, and 5yr returns, the ARK ETFs (esp K, W, Q, G) have been stellar.

I first bought into them about three and a half weeks ago and been slowly adding including some larger purchases this am.
