Zero. I don't know anyone personally who has bitcoins. Majority of people I know, wouldn't even know what the hell you are talking about.

I wonder if Wiki is having the last laugh. He was pimping this stuff at like $1 per coin.

Wiki, if you are reading this come say hello.

They have gone up a lot in value this year as economies like Venezuela collapse.

People have been predicting the demise of bitcoin and unimaginable fraud in the currency yet it's popularity and value continues to surge.

I suspect it is hard to convince a Venezuelan that bitcoin is as risky as bolivar.

Bitcoins are how I store my wealth now. Anything that is "protected by the laws of the Universe" is good with me!

And also, thinking of you Flask, You would have loved this thread!

Do you trust those bitcoin wallets to store your bitcoins? Do you have a large amount in any one particular wallet or how do you hold them?

This reminds me so much of people continuing to trade Enron after its demise.

One of the main reasons a company's shares continue to trade after it goes belly up is so the sellers can take the capital loss on their income taxes.

Unfortunately, I speak from experience doing that.

I have 1.8 bitcoins. Bought them sporadically in early 2015 I think. I haven't checked in a while. They are in my coin base wallet still so at least they haven't been stolen. Probably will just hold it for fun, which was the same reason I bought them.

Bitcoin has gone up quite a bit with the China putting up new laws to stop their wealthy from taking their money out of the country too.
