I can save $500/6 months for more coverage than I have now. Only concerned with claims process incase I get to use it. I've been with Allstate for 12+ years to compare.

Horrible horrible horrible... I spent many years in the collision repair industry. What they do to trim costs in unimaginable. Stay away. Not worth the 15%

Thank you. This is why I haven't pulled the trigger.

I’ve filed several claims with Geico and never had a problem. They are excellent in my opinion.

I deal with them regularly. They suck at claims. Although they have improved a bit recently.

I had Geico, filed 2 claims with them. Everything was handled within a week both times. Never had a complaint until my rates kept going up without explanation. When I called I was just told that is the rising cost of insurance in Louisiana.
Looked around and found other companies cheaper so I switched.

Wife and I both have geico and neither of us has a single complaint. I also used them for my boat insurance.

I know. I double checked everything to make sure I entered the correct information and coverage.

Any chance they still screw me?

You don’t see your car when it’s tore down. Everything is driven off of cycle time. Also, a lot is driven by rental cars. They don’t want to go Rental . For example, Ive seen this hundreds of time, a bumper job in their opinion gets allotted 2 days from keys to keys. If it goes over they stick the shop with the rental bill. I could go into the supplement process but it’s complicated. Also the parts they use is ridiculous. And what’s sad is that you’ll never know. Just hope you don’t get in a wreck in the same spot twice

We had two claims at the end of 2016 (within a month of one another) from someone hitting my wife's car and leaving the scene and another from an uninsured motorist rear-ending her. I can honestly tell you I have never gone through such an easy, painless process in my life regarding something like that. They were AWESOME from start to finish, and their preferred body shop was actually the one I was planning to use already (and easily the best in the area used by almost all of our dealers who don't have their own shops).

Can't speak to others' experience, but that's two for me and they never so much as batted an eye or raised my rates.

This happens for sure, but in spite of it going on with me for the last 5 years with them, they are STILL far and away cheaper than any other carrier I've checked (State Farm, AllState, Progressive, Amica, Nationwide, Farmers, etc). And most of them have jacked rates, too, citing the same "rates are going up in 'name your state'" spiel.

I've gone back into the shop on both of my claims mentioned above during multiple days of the repair process and I can assure you all parts used were OEM. The shop asked me in the beginning if I was open to aftermarket parts or wanted all OEM. GEICO never gave them a problem.

Had one claim with them in 2015. Was a very easy process and the phone rep and adjuster both told me "Don't worry, we'll make sure your truck is repaired with OEM parts." Since then, highly recommend them.

Auto insurance climbs bc they figure you’ll just pay. Shop as your rates increase. Reduce your cost. Rinse and repeat.

For years I used to say Allstate was the worst claims dept. to deal with. Now it is GEICO.

Just started Geico after Allstate kept going up every 6 months.

The Geico girl gave me a quote, and I told them let me think about it. Then when I called her to finalize it and pay, it was another maybe $30-40 off. I think it was due to my high credit score?

So the online quote might not be accurate.

Can you elaborate on some of the things they do?
