What happened to all the talk of proposing everyone switching to just the Direct Method for the Statement of Cash Flow.

Did it get buried with the switch to IFRS?

Thanks in advance.

It is a pain in the arse to do, so why make the switch when it is unnecessary?

The Direct method is horrible.

Right, right I get this...In the name of Transparency though...and that whole lets hop on the IRFS conversion bandwagon.

Back in pre-2011 it was SERIOUS talk JUST like the advancment of Mark-to-market (which got shut down like a Chinese religious protest due to the unanimous view that it was the stupidest possible thing to do during this current crisis).

Just curious what happened to it and if it had any cool back story like the FMV saga...because you can't find ANYTHING even mentioning it anymore unless it's some BS scholar type writing about the "impending" switch to IRFS or something dated pre-2011
