My wife and I bought our first home back in April. Excuse my ignorance, but do we get a tax credit for purchasing the home when we file our taxes in January? If so, what is the tax credit amount? Thank guys

You can deduct your mortgage interest.

Other than that, no credit that I know of

Tax credits are long expired.

I wasn't an Obama fan but I did enjoy that 8K credit I got on our first home.
