Wait! I’m in the clutches of a computer share sale.
Added on edit, my loaned shares were returned today. Shorts getting cold feet?

Same. Fidelity

I didn’t realize you could loan out shares on fidelity. I need to look into that.

I added a few hundred more shares today. Just shy of 6K shares now. If it drops any more I will get to my goal.

You’ll get to your goal long as they keep missing deadlines and promoting attending “events”. They are way behind “stepping on the gas pedal” and need to just go already.

My shares lent out has been zero that last two days also. Been a long time since that's been the case.
I added a several hundred share to get to an even number this week. Tempting to add more as it drops, but I'm in so heavy already. We'll see.

Same. Not several but I added a few hundred.

Yup yesterday was the first day in a while my shares weren't lent out. A LONG while. Kind of a bummer, but it is definitely an indicator that most think good news is coming soon.

I use TDA (soon to be Schwab, but haven't transitioned yet). Any TDA users point me in the right direction where I can go to see if any of my shares have been or are being lent out?

1. My account tab in top left
2. Click statements under “history and statements”
3. Click “fully paid” next to “Statement Type”
4. Click the drop-down for “view statements” and click “all” so it shows daily.
5. Click the most recent date and it will show it.

I don't have the fully paid option next to statement type. It only says "Account". I must not have a type of account that allows shares to be lent out. I'm not sure.
ETA: Looks like I have a margin account, but I never use margins.

I assumed you have already signed up for the lending option based on your request.
It’s not going to show up if you haven’t signed up. Google how to sign up or use the search. It’s a piece of paper and easy.

So I’ve gotten mixed feedback on this from various people. I’m not a pro so take my ‘knowledge’ with a grain of salt.
I know that E*trade will not allow you to have FPL on a margin account. I had to request my account be taken off margin for FPL to activate. That may be your problem. I assumed this meant across the board that margin accounts cannot partake in fully paid lending, but I have heard counter arguments from people that say their account needs to be margin to be FPL eligible. So maybe it is dependent on what brokerage you’re using.
ETA: also, E*trade has a minimum account balance to be eligible. Not sure what the amount is or if that’s the case for other platforms.

I tried signing up but wasn't eligible. The Etrade site said "Fully Paid Lending is only available for brokerage cash accounts and IRAs with a minimum of $200,000 of assets under management or Liquid Net Worth for accounts associated with your user-id. Margin accounts, Line of Credit accounts, international accounts, and other non-cash accounts are not eligible for the program."

I sent a message to TDA through my account. Looks like the initial step is to send them a message requesting to remove margin from my account, which I've never used anyways. That should be the easy part. Then I guess it's a matter if my account meets any other requirements they may have for FPL. Guess I'll find out when they respond.

E-Trade has made it simple, just turn it on for the account or accounts and anything eligible is put up for FPL.
Last month was a fat month coming at $2995.

How much $ in shares do you have lent out?
Posted on 7/7/23 at 8:56 pm to GREENHEAD22
Can we talk about lending shares in a different thread? Every time yall post I think it's new news.

Posted on 7/7/23 at 9:23 pm to Saintsisit
Is 5k shares enough to get lent out or doesn't meet the threshold?
