Is there any way to move cash to BTC without going through a bank?

Yes. Find a Bitcoin ATM machine. Google it. They’re all over.

I’ve never done it though.

You could have someone else send funds to a Cash App account and then buy BTC that way. Otherwise, I don't see many efficient ways to do this wiothout a bank

It seems like he’s trying to learn. There was a time when you did not know anything about crypto, too.

So out of curiosity, I used a bitcoin depot ATM near my house today.

Bought $200 of bitcoin. It discloses a $3 fee....I'm cool with that. The transaction goes through, receipt comes out and the current exchange rate used is about 52,100.... that's scam worthy, it didn't disclose this until after the transaction. Thankful I didn't buy more. Hit my wallet at like $132 bucks.

So yea, be careful with those btc atms

Curious. Did the ATM take your picture or iris scan?

No, I only bought $200 because at 250, you have to scan your ID.

I had to input a phone number for verification and they ask your name, i put in my real name, but they don't do anything to verify it, so you could put in anything you want. I believe the deposit limit resets everyday so you could go multiple times and just not exceed $250, but a 20-25% fee? Doesn't make any sense to use the service.

assuming when you said 20-25% fee you are talking about the spot price spread vs. what you got it for as well?

Yes, I'm combining both the spread and fee together.
