Had a $1500 medical bill that was in dispute but ended up on my credit report recently taken care of and supposedly removed from my credit rating report. How much of a bump up would this make in my credit rating now. Rating was probably in the 640 range due to the disputed amount.

My score went from 450 to 624 to 753 all in a matter of 6 months. I had a charter bill that I disputed that they took off my report. So to answer your question if you have other credit cards, loans that you pay on time, it should pick up a good amount like mine. But I'm not sure everybody could be different.

It depends on how old it was. If it was recent, you will get a bump of probably 30-50 points. If it was several years old, maybe zero points. If you're trying to get your score up to buy something, make sure you're getting a real FICO score because the other "scores" are not used by lenders. Also, credit utilization greatly affects your score and your score can change drastically from month to month because of it. You want to keep your utilization low, at less than 10% , to maximize your FICO score.
