I own it. Love the 11% dividend. Bought some more shares when it hit $15 and expect it to creep back up to $20 in the next month or so.

Good dividend stock. I wouldn't expect to get rich off of it, but it shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon either.

They are my internet provider. I hate them with a passion and probably will be getting satellite internet because they are so terrible in the area where I live. And yes, I know that people hate their satellite internet providers too. But I'm just tired of rewarding a terrible product and firing them will make me happy for a short while.

Even with the dividend minimizing the losses it's return (with dividends reinvested) would be roughly:

1 year: -16.7%
2 year: -18.7%
3 year: -25.9%
5 year: -19.9%

Now over the last 6 months, you would be up about 12.4% However, without knowing much about Centurylink their fundamentals don’t look promising and ISPs are obviously facing some issues as well.

Besides over the last 5 quarter, their EPS has totaled $1.87 and their dividend payout is $2.70, for a 144% payout ratio. I know this has been a trend for a while but that’s usually not a good sign.

They are the only company i'm aware of focusing on rural areas. That could be good and bad.

They sell a shite ton of bandwidth to corporate customers, they own alot of fiber in the tunnels around the country's data hubs. They also lease alot of lines from ATT and resell that bandwidth.

The PE ratio is out of wack because the dividend is so high, making the stock sell for more than what the company is actually probably worth.
