My Ark funds in 2021 has not been to good start. I'm still up 150% on them since I got in 2 years ago.

Last 2 months have been awful.

Should I keep adding to the ARK funds?

Alliance Bernstein let her go after the financial meltdown - here modeling was too risky for them.

Let that sink in.

ARKK has been a top percentile performer in 2 of the years since its inception. It’s also been a bottom 1 or 2 percentile in 2 of the years since its inception. She’s underperformed more often than not, but when she overperforms, she does so in a massive way.

In normal circumstances I’d say you ride or die with her, but the massive inflows are a problem IMO. The fund is categorized as a mid cap growth fund on Morningstar, and there are only 4 mid cap growth funds that manage more money than ARKK. 3 of those 4 are closed to new investors. It simply gets difficult to provide meanings alpha in the mid and smaller cap spaces when you manage too much money. When you consider the overlap her funds have, it becomes a bigger problem IMO.

Her buying Roblox and Coinbase shook me almost as much as Musk inexplicably pushing Doge. I was on board until then.

I am dca on big drop days...all my techs are doing bad so dca some of my favorites...bought some today FYI

I dca when things are down and specifically when things I have are down 30 percent....(started a dividend bucket and did the same same with big blue dividend stocks last year when covid hit market in March)

I had been building a unicorn bucket recently and feeling pain....but my timeline is 20 plus years...just building a unicorn bucket with hopes I grab a few future Netflix...Apple...Tesla ..and the kids chuckle when they inherit it...

Roblox has huge user base. My kids and their friends are all on it.

Roblox need to find a way to monetize their user base. Popularity is not an issue

It’s really impressive that he’s made it so big in the stock world considering his parents named him Cathy

Ark is going to be a disaster when the market fundamentals regarding ev’s normalize. Rates start going up and these companies are in trouble. Wood also has to alarm investors with her admissions last week that hwang provided much of her seed capital.

fundamentals regarding ev’s normalize

Could have said this about lot of winners...Tesla. Years and years ago (I did...:(...only alive due to fed funds was my argument)....saaid it again when Netflix changed from mail in and went from 30 dollars a share to ten ( again I did .....:(()
Facebook was a joke and would die ( once again ....I did...;(((()

Unicorns are just that....but worth throwing a few bucks each year on some you feel will have global interest to every person and thus a large opportunity of growth....

But should be just disposable money for average investor and long term....look at Apple ...it was solid but existed a long time as the novelty computer and then graphic computer until....the i phone changed the world
