Can someone explain this insurance issue to me?
My daughter started a new prescription in October - when she started we had NOT met our deductible. I don't know the why/how, but the pharmacy used charged us $5 for a $2200 prescription === and the $2200 went to our deductible. WTH?

Refill in November same thing.

I call for the refill today and it's $1,000 BECAUSE we've met our deductible. THAT is what I really don't understand.

It's not a problem as they can fill the generic for $100 but why would it be more once the deductible is met -- which "technically" it isn't as I see it because we didn't actually "pay" $2200.

I'm just really super curious to this all.

It’s the pharmacy saying that I met my deductible so it’s just higher. ???

The pharmacy used a discount card on the initial purchases.
