BP settlment funds are being made available to a large percentage of individuals and businesses that had declining income following the 2010 spill. The system is claimant friendly and designed to approve and maximiize recoveries, not diminish them. It is available to those in business at the time of the spill throught La., Ms., Alabama, as well as Western FLa. and parts of Texas.

You guys at Ground Zero are getting a really good deal in the new program. Jason., to the extent your family and friends still need help, they need to contact their attorney or CPA soon. The new program is an excellent chance to get back to where you should be.

And, do you know my bud Roger H from Buras?

I just signed up for the new program. Nothing has come about it yet. Hopefully it is better than Feinberg's program where he wants to pay me around 8% of my total loss that is calculated in numerous documents (300+ pages) and in my income taxes, etc. It took Feinberg 1.5 years to give me that 8% offer. It probably took an accountant about 10 minutes to produce that offer. They never used any of my documents I sent them. And I am an accountant (almost a CPA-undergrad in accounting and MBA with concentration in Finance-going through the CPA tests now) so I know how much time they spent on it.

If I knew his last name I'm sure I would know him or my parents/family would. I from that area and everyone knows everyone pretty much down there.

Glad to hear you have knowledge of the new program. And Greenhead...frick you...a lot of good people in this state were hurt and need assistance. How's your check? Still coming? Plenty are still waiting for theirs....

Some people believe there's no such thing as a legitimate plaintiff's claim and that any lawsuit is by definition "lawsuit abuse." Until they think they've been wronged, then they're as quick to run to court as the next guy.

Not the same thing IMO.

BP f'd over a lot of folks and have been absolute dicks about making them whole.

I have no problem with people extracting whatever they can from BP.
