At this point it is too early to know who will ultimately be the long time leaders in this constantly evolving space. But, with the launch of new technology from firms like Coinsetter, along with growing account holders and corporate investing due to the increased exposure, bitcoins have a solid foundation that should propel its lasting power.

More scammers perpetuating the Ponzi scheme

It's only a matter of time before banks freeze all of these bitcoins

I Survived the Bitcoin Bubble

"But I was counting on the greater fool theory—by the time the value of bitcoin began to plummet, I’d have already sold my shares to some other idiot looking for a quick path to riches."

None of the four articles you linked inspire confidence in Bitcoins. The last is especially frightening.
quote:

The study said: "Exchanges handling 275 Bitcoins' worth of transactions each day have a 20 percent chance of being breached, compared to a 70 percent chance for exchanges processing daily transactions worth 5570 Bitcoins." Moore and Christin estimate that the median lifespan of any Bitcoin exchange is 381 days, with a 29.9 percent chance that a new exchange will close within a year of opening.
A 70% chance of being breached is not good.

And here is someone in 2013 who disagrees with Milton... bitcoin.org I would think that bitcoin.org would not specifically mention that "Bitcoin is not anonymous" and "Don't forget government taxes" for legitimate users of Bitcoins if those conditions were not true. Obviously, those who want to use Bitcoins for illicit purposes will not heed the advice of bitcoin.org.

Well you would be incorrect.

Bitcoin can be anonymous if you take the steps necessary to make it anonymous.
