Diversification is the key. Bogleheads usually use a 3 or 4 fund strategy.

Um... If you're trying to pick One fund, and you don't really know the difference between the total stock market fund and a bond fund, then it's worth it to pay 50 basis points to be in a managed mutual fund... Don't be pennywise and pound-foolish.

I’m using VUG for some medium to long term investing. Didn’t see that mentioned here. Did I frick up? Just putting about $250 per month in there at regular intervals.

If you want to auto invest monthly with Vanguard (example: Roth IRAs) you have to choose their mutual funds instead of ETFs for your allocation fyi

Same with Fidelity. The one I want has a minimum starting point though of a few thousand dollars so I'm waiting until I build that fund up a bit to switch over.
