I am hoping it closes at $11 or a little higher Friday. That will cause my put to be assigned to replace the $10 CC I will lose. Still have my core position to write CC's and CAP's on to gain more premium. My 1K shares I have right now is house money so the only question is how much I will make in the end, hopefully through buyout.

This stock is manipulated like none other

I’ve become so apathetic to the market, especially this stock after being burned badly with options. I bought back around $6 in January, but just commons. Not worried about 5-10% swings…the drug and efficacy is top in class, and eventually it will be bought for $25+, in my opinion. Might be another year or 2, but it is what it is.

July $7 and 8 puts are extremely juicy right now.
It’s about as safe a bullish play as you can make for May earnings.

You selling puts or buying?
What premium you getting?
Looks like earnings either send this to 14 or dump it to sub 8.
I probably should hedge a little I suppose and buy some puts

IV is really high so I sell puts as a bullish move.
If earnings really suck then I'll have three hundred new shares at $8, but I’m guessing I’ll be able to close those out with any kind of run up into earnings. I collected .50 per contract on those, expiriing 5/19.
6.25% in a month if it works out.
Buying puts is too much of a hedge for me.
With the numbers you just provided, if you really believe in sub $8 and upwards of $14, try a long straddle.

I was happy with the price yesterday. Ending up buying 100 at $11.00 and selling 100 at $10.00. Came out way ahead with the premiums and still have my core position. Planning on doing some CSP on Monday between $7 and $9 and CC's between $12 an $15.

Ending up buying 100 at $11.00 and selling 100 at $10.00.
My $13s obviously expired worthless.
An easy $140 collected. Cha-Ching
Will do it again for 5/19 while premium remains elevated. $15 calls are paying .50 as of Friday’s close. I hope everyone is taking advantage of this sky high IV. The market as a whole is providing very little premium right now.

Yes I had a CC at $10 with 0.34 premium but it got assigned. Also had cash covers put at $11 with $114.00 premium. I still have 1K shares and my cost basis rose slightly. My 1K shares is all house money. All my other CC's and puts expired and I banked $578.00 in premiums yesterday.

Ah, I see. You must have sold those 10s a good while ago to only get .34 from them.
You didn’t want to roll up and out to save your shares? I suppose you can wheel the $1,000 you got from the sale on 9-10 CSP. Those should provide a hefty premium.

I am doing it in an IRA and have never tried to roll up and out. I am only set up to do CC's and cash covered puts. I did the $10 CC In the first week of January when the share price was in the mid 7's. Most of my CC's and puts have expired and I just use the premium to do more puts. Will be repeating that stratergy next week. I only did the $11 put because I knew I would be losing th $10 CC and the premium was too much to resist.

Gotcha. Worked out since your cost basis on the $11 ended up being 9.86
I really wish I had started this stuff three years ago. I could have made a killing on the hysteria when we were at $30+

I started doing options in the summer of 2021. Was just learning and started off real sloe. Wish I had started learning a few years earlier and wish I knew what I know then what I know today. Live and learn!!

Yeah, he went right at them.
Even claiming they could sell today for $28 per share. Putting pressure on board.
I'd take the $28. And not shed a tear

Thankfully the little pump allowed me to sell five 5/19 $15 calls for .55
Looks like an easy $275 minus commission.
