I received a letter today from the LA Department of Revenue and they aren't allowing us to deduct our Start Savings contributions for 2017. Are there income limitations as to whether you can deduct or not? I've never read of any limitations and I'm not sure as to why we can't deduct it.

I called LDR 2 weeks ago and they said they would forward it to the appropriate department, and I would hear something soon. Nothing yet. Screw them.

Well that is concerning. I haven't received any kind of letter about it yet I don't think. Also would y'all happen to know when the match is deposited into the 529?

I took them about 2 weeks to send me a response. They sent a similar letter to the first one, showing the deduction restored to my original filing. The refund hit my account about a week later.
