Came in at 266K jobs added versus 1M expected...
Dow jones futures crashed in reaction while NASDAQ futures mooned as this puts a damper on rate pressure in the short term. So back to the good ole days where tech stocks ripped and the broader market was flat or tanked.

The economy is of no object to our ruling class. It's about EQUITY and SOCIAL JUSTICE. They'll print as much money as they need to create the facade that anything they do actually solves any of the problems they claim to exist.

These forecasters must not get out much. I did a cross country road trip a few weeks ago and should’ve made a montage of the “help wanted” signs. The chain hotel I stayed at had to be closed with no one at the desk for 6 hours because they didn’t have enough staffing to work the desk 24 hours (I travel a lot and had never seen that at a chain). One gas station had “now hiring $10.50/hour” with a note that said “now paying $11.50” which was then Sharpied over to say “$12.50”

Pay people tons of money to sit at home on their asses and then wonder why nobody wants a job. On the bright side, growth stocks and tech stocks should do well on this news

Sweden went down that road until they found that around 25% of the workforce chose to live off of the array of benefits and avoid work completely.

Tough for small businesses to compete with the government unemployment checks.
This is going to be a vicious cycle. The people in power will probably look at this and see it as justification for more unemployment benefits. That will lead to the next round of jobs numbers to be terrible. Rinse repeat.

Wish I could post it, but Trump Jr had a pretty funny picture on his instagram. A business had a sign out front that said "Weekly Stimulus Checks - See manager for details"
