Amazon trading at 2060 after earnings.
Does it stay above 2000 this time?

I hope so because I will clear about $10K or more on my calls tomorrow if it does.

Damn good day for me tomorrow but some dude on r/wsb is set to clear around $700K if this holds.

Nice!
I've only been trading seriously for 3 years. Still haven't messed with options. The one thing I find funny, is even when I buy a few shares of something and it explodes like I did here with amazon. Instead of being happy, I just feel immense regret at not pushing more chips in.

Yall gotta teach me how to play options

I find it amazing that company with 900B market cap can go up 13% because of the last three months.
It's pretty fascinating.
Way too much emphasis on quarterly results imo.

I started to buy more Amazon calls this morning when the market was down. There's always that what if.
I made a lot of options plays this week.
I missed on AMD -60.09%
Did well on AAPL but not as good as I had hoped 21.23%
Barley came out on MA 14.31%
Crushed it with MSFT today 101.97% gain
Sold ALXN during the run up before close for 23.45% profit
Sold V today before earnings because I had already made 63.21% on the run up. V is down right now.
Will crush AMZN tomorrow
My last play tomorrow after I sell AMZN is CL. I bought in the money calls earlier in the week but I am currently down. Hopefully, I can just get out tomorrow when they beat. All signs point to a beat. If not, I am out a few K but still had a great week.
All of that just goes to show it's better to be lucky than good.
This will be a good week and might top my best week I had 14 months ago.
ETA: fixed the percentages for this week

The whole market is just too volatile. I basically went into hibernation mode on trading because of the volatility and haven't been doing much until last week when I made some good plays on INTC, AXP, HCA, TER, and KEY. I made 80% on INTC and 62% on TER so I used that profit to gamble with this week.

Can you explain options to me? I've read but hearing examples is better for me! jaucoi5@gmail.com

The options calculator I use shows a 330% profit if trading at $2100 tomorrow.
I bought ITM $1852.50 calls with a 2/21 expiration. I didn't go balls deep in and only bought two at $55.60 per or $11,120.
Geez...I might have to find Bezos and suck him off.

Man, I would but I try not to influence others with their financial decision making. I don't want to be responsible for someone losing money. I even made a big deal about people pumping shitty crypto on here because they were suckering people into money-losing positions.
Watch and read everything you can to start with then make a few plays on paper and see how well you would have done or how much you would lose. If you feel you can stomach the rollercoaster that is options then start doing your research. I use Earnings Whispers and Zacks as my primary plus on my Twitter account, I have a list of guys that tweet out good data and info daily. I do more research then that but at the end of the day it's a huge risk no matter what. MA crushed earnings this week but shite the bed because of guidance so you never know.
It's a lot like gambling in that a lot of people don't post their losers but you can have days like this as well. I don't screenshot my accounts anymore because people know my handle IRL but this is leftover from when I used to:

Someone sent me this link when I asked the same question on this board last year.
I've gone through a few of these, it's very well laid out.

Do they teach you how to write naked calls for max gains?
J/K don't do that.

Nice Stout. I did not have any AMZN. I did however have V leaps.. they will be down tomorrow. oh well. will continue to hold.
Posted on 1/30/20 at 5:27 pm to b-rab2
V will rebound. I started to hold but I couldn't ignore 60% profit before close and took it.
