Updated through close of trading on Wednesday, January 16.

The players showing the biggest movement from Tuesday are PearlJam who moved up in the rankings by 14 places from 30 to 16 as a result of Goldman Sachs and Bank of America's big up moves yesterday and PlanoPrivateer who dropped 14 places from 27 to 41 mainly due to Ford's double digit percentage decline in price yesterday.

Also making significant moves were Azazello who improved his ranking by 10 places also benefiting from Goldman Sach's jump and SouthMSReb and deeprig9 who both dropped 9 places in the rankings, again because of Ford's decline yesterday.

Updated through close of market on Friday, January 18.

This update compares rankings from Friday a week ago (January 11) to the current rankings as of yesterday. That means the number you see to the right of your name is what you were ranked LAST Friday, 1/11/19.

I hope to do this every Friday so you can see how your ranking changed over the one week time period.

Also I've added another column to the right of your LAST Friday's ranking showing what your YTD performance percent was LAST Friday, 1/11/19.

As you would expect with the stock market having a good week everyone, with the exception of one player, had an improved YTD % performance from a week ago. The lone exception was Hussss whose YTD performance % fell week-over-week from 5.72% a week ago to 4.97% yesterday.

Improving the most in the rankings since last Friday was PearlJam who moved UP in the rankings +29 places, going from 47 last week to 18 yesterday. His YTD % performance more than tripled over the week mainly due to big jumps by Goldman Sachs (GS), Citi Corp (C) and Bank of America (BAC). Also making a big jump in his ranking was Rendevoustavern who moved up in the standings +22 places from 45 to 23.

Dropping the most in the rankings from last week was Hussss falling -19 places from 33 last Friday to 52 yesterday. Also losing ground in the standings was deeprig9 who fell -17 places dropping from 22 a week ago to 39 yesterday.

A couple of you might notice that your YTD % has been carried out to 3 decimal places. That's because with it being carried out to only 2 decimal places with the way Excel rounded your % it made it look like you were tied with the player immediately below/above you so I moved your % number over one decimal place to break the tie.

I welcome your feedback on how to improve the reporting of our updates. Thanks.

Great report. Your Friday to Friday plan is great if you can keep it going. Yeah, some pretty strong movement in just 3 weeks. Should be an interesting year.

Below is a table showing how our players 151 stocks have performed YTD through 1/18/19 from the best performing stock to the worst. This data is from MorningStar.com.

The number to the right of everyone's YTD % shows how many of our players have that stock as one of their five stock picks.

It begs the question is it best to find a few high flyers or to aim for quality performance out of each of your selections.

Obviously there’s a massive contrast between a risk managed portfolio and a stock pick’em on TD, but interesting breakdown.

How is the first month shaping up?

If someone wants to “win” this contest then taking a high risk is a given.

For me, I’d prefer to go with stocks I could own and be happy with them. But my risk level is too low to win. I’m okay with being in or near the middle.

I plan on updating our standings tomorrow. I haven’t updated the numbers since last Friday.

I added more risk thisbvbyear than last. so far I'm glad I did but last year it seemed everyone raced out to big percentages and then I caught up as those high fliers came back to reality.

Me as well. I didn't spend any time on these five, simply took 5 out of my current 11 equity positions, which are outside of my 401K retirement accounts. Obviously some of these positions are part of the funds in those accounts.

I look forward to the updates. Well done.

Updated through close of trading on Friday, January 25.

The number to the right of each person's YTD % is your ranking last Friday, 1/18/19. The percent number to the right of your previous ranking is what your YTD % was last Friday.

There was a lot of up and down in our YTD % this week as opposed to the previous update where 55 out of our 56 players improved their YTD %. Since the previous update last Friday, 27 players saw their YTD % decline and 29 players saw their YTD % improve. All 56 players continue to have a positive YTD performance.

The biggest YTD % improvement from last week was by SunTiger whose YTD performance rose +4.66% from 21.24% to 25.90%.

Experiencing the biggest decline in YTD % from last Friday was arkiebrian dropping -5.33% from 16.49% to 11.16%.

Holding steady in the rankings at #1 and #2 were theOG and ynlvr. Moving up from #4 to #3 was Suntiger.

The biggest move UP in the rankings this week was by leoj who improved his ranking +14 places moving from 36 to 22. He also improved his YTD % performance significantly from 8.83% to 12.49%. Honorable mention in improving their rankings by +12 places were HYDRebs moving up from 42 to 30 and jsk020 improving from 49 to 37.

Having the biggest drop in his ranking was Rendevoustavern who fell -20 places going from 23 to 43 in the past week. Also losing ground in the rankings was arkiebrian dropping -15 places from 10 to 25.

Three posters picked CGC. Those three are in the top five.

Thanks again for keeping up with this Russian.

Yep. As the marijuana market shakes out this year (ETA: I wanted to say "as the smoke clears" but that was too easy ) it will be interesting to see if CGC can maintain its price improvement.

IMO, it's a high risk, high reward stock. It's one regulatory blip away from a crash.

But CGC having a +80% YTD return after only 3 full weeks into the year is damn impressive! The question is, is it sustainable?

My concern about dope stocks are what will happen when production goes widespread and farmers in places like the Rio Grande Valley grow it?? I suspect 1000 or two acres of production could flood the market.

Can the existing companies build brands that will have some brand premium before the production becomes completely commoditized?
