Not even if you have a medical card?

Hopefully it doesn't look shiny like it has in the past.

I would love to go back to real grass. It looks so much better.

Tried several times. Just won't grow down in that hole.
I do remember some amazing mud games back in the 70s.

I didn't remember any problems with it in the 90's and 00's. Could a different type of grass work?

I am sure it could be done but at a massive cost in not just turf but in renovations to the stadium. They would I believe need to totally not just resod but rebuild the base of the field, making the field higher. Then add an expensive drainage system and to make all that work make the stands higher. While I love natural grass, seems like too much financially to be worth it.

I wouldn't have said it if I wasn't.

I saw many games on that grass. It was terrible. Mowing heights had to be super high like well over 1" in hopes of promoting deeper root growth but it still didn't work. It always came up in huge chunks due to the root fungus problems. It was an incredibly slow surface and since we weren't the bigger boys on the field it was a weapon against ourselves.

Very few games were televised then. So Kelly, Kadlec, and Gervino were my eyes and ears on the radio. And I don't ever recall any of them mentioning anything about the field tearing apart.

It was old news to them. They just accepted the slop like everyone else. No money to fix it from that administration.

Yup. once they closed in the SEZ in the 70s, the problem started. It was constant outside the years they went asto turf.

Cannot confirm yet, but I believe the diamonds are back.

block M on helmets, diamonds in the endzone....WTH is going on around here? Next thing you know we'll have the state outline at midfield.

Although it looks more SEC and traditional, I think Mizzou should stick to a modern look.

You’re fighting a losing fight. The Block M helmet is back. The old field is next. Hell. Drinks this or that bit on Twitter has him choosing the block M over the oval tiger head.
