I only noticed him in garbage time in the bowl game. I didn't realize until just now he's a sophomore.

Worthless 4-star, sucked anyway, will bring in someone eleventy billion times better, trust Kelly.

Honestly, I don't have an opinion on Carter, but players not waiting around at one school to develop will just be the new college football.

Everyone talks about needing to build SEC caliber depth to win the conference. How the hell are we supposed to do that when this bullshite keeps happening?

Transfer portal is basically a dead-end for all but the top-level players, which he is not.

I’ll never forget him kneeling at the 1 yard line.

Probably Kelly when he recruited a shite ton of DL from the portal. These are the guys that were always leaving. We had 17 DL on scholarship. There’s no way we’re going into the fall with that many. One thing I really appreciate about Kelly is he seems to be very upfront and honest with guys on where they stand. Clearly Carter was going to be way down on the depth chart.

We can’t love all the guys we get from the portal from other schools and have animosity over the ones who choose to leave if they think it’s in their best interest. And what you think is in their best interest without any context doesn’t mean it is. Some guys might not have NFL aspirations. Or may not want to work their arse off for years and still never get on the field, even if it’s for a championship team. Some guys might just want to actually play. And that’s ok.

Naw, I think he will be picked up. He was going to be a contributor at a top 10 perennial power. Like tolen, someone will swoop in pretty fast I'm sure.

Basically. The reason most of the portal commits are high 3 and 4 stars is because the high caliber players are the only ones being pursued
