Low, he could be joe Montana, the offense will be predictable. I have zero confidence in the coaching staff to be original.

Burrow will be as good as the offensive line allows him to be. It all starts with the OL.

Let's assume the OL gives Burrow a reasonable amount of time to throw. I really, really hope Burrow has been taught the basic skills to look off the safeties for down field throws and look off his primary receivers for short to medium throws and has the basic ability to check down to the second option and if not available just make good decisions and throw the ball away. Just don't panic. Sometimes punting is not bad option.

Also, I really hope he has the awareness to recognize corner and safety blitzes. But damn, if he can quickly recognize blitzes in sync with our WRs, the offense should be fun to watch.

I also hope Ensminger play callings is not super conservative and we actually throw the ball over the middle. It's going to be impossible if Ensminger calls plays scared. The defense will recognize that in a split second and Miami's corners and safeties with sit on LSU's WRs routes. Ensminger has to give Burrow enough rope (at the right moments). That will keep Miami's defense on their heels if Burrow can that advantage of the times when Ensminger is calling the game less conservatively.

I don't think this will be the case with him. Over the years, outside of Mett, LSU QBs were scared to death to let it fly and under miles were put in very bad position to succeed, a lot of low % throws in passing situations. He's not coming from a situation or system that was scared to sling it.

He will be an average QB at best.
Will take 4-5 games to settle into average.

I believe Burrow will be a good QB for LSU. He will keep defenses honest because of his passing proficiency. I could see 2800-3000 yards, 25 TDS, 7 ints.

Don't force the ball. Take what the DEF gives you. Hoping his experience in a RPO system will allow him to see the field and find some receivers in space so they can make plays. With that it would not surprise me if he throws a pick, but bounce back. Lean forward all night and make plays leveraging our athletes, especially at WR.

These are 2 points that obviously will play into how effective/efficient any QB will be. If the line is awful, a QB has no chance. IF a line is decent, but the QB is bad, then the offense has no chance. IF the line is decent and the QB is really good at reading what the defense is doing, then chances are good for success.

On the second point, this could be something that takes a little time. The QB has to trust that he and the receiver see the same thing and anticipate the same check down. IS the chemistry going to be there between a QB and receivers when the QB has had limited time with them?

Obviously there a lot more variables to a successful offense than just whether the QB has the tools/IQ to play the position. It takes a team effort.

I expect Burrow to be the best transfer QB of this season. He'll compete with and outperform Shea Patterson for those honors.

I also expect he'll lead LSU to become a top 5 in the SEC passing attack.

I also expect that, once the Miami game is over and won, and he is interviewed as the Tiger QB for the first time, it will be obvious that he has what it takes in smarts and attitude to lead the Tigers to a great season.

Advice for Burrow......(from Saban)
You don't have to win the game, just don't lose the game.
