Some have mentioned the youth on this year's team as a factor in the dismal start to the season.

But what about the youth on the coaching staff? This staff has a new head coach (yes he's HC'd before but not for long and interim). Both coordinators are "wonder kids" in the profession - young but demonstrated brilliance in a well-run systems.

This staff is lacking the old salty leader who puts the whole thing together. Yes, O needs to fill that role - but it takes time to build chemistry and exert leadership.

This staff needs time to gel and to learn how to build and keep team chemistry. It's not like Canada and Aranda suddenly forgot how to scheme. They seem to be genuinely football-knowledgeable coaches. Maybe they just need to grow up and gel together a bit.

Hopefully they learn soon....

they themselves are getting experience... along with the players.

It takes tome to build experience.

LSU has a guy like that already on the payroll. He's doing some tv work right now, but maybe he could be convinced to come back.

What are you talking about?

EdO is the Human RainbO. He's literally worn every shade of color there is and failed everywhere he went

Bob Stoops retired abruptly from Oklahoma in June and they promoted their OC who had no prior HC experience and a short time to adjust to being the head man in charge. They're ranked #3 and beat Ohio State on the road in Riley's 2nd ever game as a HC. Young coaching staff doesn't seem to be affecting them
