Yet another reason to be a Dan McDonnell fan

In addition to being one hell of a coach, the man is passionate and not afraid to speak his mind. He tells it like it is and doesn't tolerate BS. Love his energy in this rant from last month.

His rant paid off. A day after he said this, Louisville athletic dept. responded by raising their seating capacity from 20% to 50%.
Louisville was lagging behind opponent schools in lifting restrictions, putting them at a disadvantage. So he spoke up to fight for his team. He gets shite done.

Agreed. Can’t make post season in weaker ACC and we want to fire CPM who made the post season in the toughest conference on the planet. He should be posting top 16 seeds every year.

They went 10 days without playing a game. Bad luck with covid protocols contributed to derailing their season. First time in 10 years they didn't make tournament. Dude has earned a mulligan.

The fans here require that a coach work around those type of things and still win. Injuries can’t be used as an excuse.

CPM has missed the tourney before.
They had an understandable excuse for what happened given the crazy times. They had pitching injuries and a long break. Look how elite he has been every other year. Sheesh.

Again, one season. And OFC enough key injuries can be too much to overcome.
