Some of you forget this.

2017 was the last time we were a national seed

I agree but good luck reminding them I’ve seen lsu play in oregon twice in the last five years as a two seed

Two gut wrenching losses but we’ve got guys asking if Jay can make it in the sec when we finished fourth and second and first two seasons

Sure, but this isn't a "build towards the future" season. This is a "win-now" season.

We have the top two picks in the draft on the same team. On top of that, the majority of our lineup won't be returning after this season.

We have to win it all for this season to be a true success because this is one of the most talented teams that LSU has ever had.

Well they have won enough to host both a regional and a super. I would say they are winning now.

Feel like Jay is still building his program. Should have a good idea of what he needs from the portal this year.

Is it rebuild next season with our injuried starting pitchers being healthy ?

With the arms we lost to injury this season. That will be our strength next season plus what JJ can pull in the portal.

I think LSU is going to be an annual contender with our current recruiting combined with the portal. We’ll never have a tandem of Crews and Skenes but we will have more talented lineups.

Win did I say they are not?

My point was towards the OP who was saying what we've accomplished now is good enough even if it ends short of Omaha because it's year 2.

#1 recruiting class
#1 transfer class
Paul, crews, white , Morgan ore season AA
Unanimous #1 ranking

Not sure any fans cares about just being a national seed. It's get to Omaha or compete bust and failure right now.
