I think with those 3 backs and a 1st year QB we will definitely see more RB touches

With the former #1 and #6 HS RBs and 4 new starters on the OL and a 1st time QB starter we will be more balanced. I do expect a lot of use of the RBs in the passing game though. Emery getting his vision fixed will be huge. He should be our best RB out in space with TDP and Curry as our downhill RBs.

Now what I'm most excited to see is how the Brennan to Gilbert connection develops. If these two can get their timing down and the OL solidifies this offense will be high octane.

Bump —

LSU runs a Spread and Shred — That’s exactly what we do

Seventy something down arrows are an indictment of the football ignorance of our fan base — Keep up the good work

Do you really believe schitt you’re shovelin’ Here that Myles can ONLY achieve 60% of Joe’s Production (300 ypg) with 60% passes

If this happens, we are in the CFP again and competing for another NC. So yeah, I’d be fricking happy with that.

We aren’t going to repeat as the best ever to play the game. We don’t have to. Another NC is possible without it.

The SAS (Spread and Shred) that LSU runs embodies Saints stats — Did you ever note Payton’s offensive stats — We’re running a hybrid attack that embodies the PASS FIRST CONCEPT

10 Spread and Shred (SAS) Facts:

1. LSU was a 34% Pass Team — Target 60%
2. original goal was to get to 60% by Yr 2
3. LSU threw 60% passes in the two playoffs and utterly obliterated the opposition — Myles Brennan will continue this pass first legacy
4. SAS = a strong pass game to RBs
Note: I agree about John Emery and we have a full stable of RBs to wear down teams
5. SAS = significant TE passes (18%)
Note: TE passes could be increased to 25% given the personnel and skill sets LSU has

Expect 80 plays a game — We went from: 34% pass to 54% (60% last two games)
65 plays a game to 75 (80+ = Target)
29 passes a game (2018) to near 40

Imagine near 50 passes a game ~ 30 runs

10 passes to TEs
10 passes to RBs
30 passes to WRs

30 runs (set up to be explosive plays)

SAS = UNSTOPPABLE

We are not likely to see a passing game as efficient as 2019. BUT, we can get 300+ passing yards and win most games.

Ludicrous to think LSU coaches will limit themselves to 300 ypg passing when the Spread and Shred Offense has evolved to a 500 ypg Offense (last two playoff games)

1. We’re using a 4th year Vet with a 70 yard arm that is highly skilled in pass first offense having passed for 15,000 yards in HS this annihilating all HS Records not only those of the Vaunted Favre Family
2. Myles has 6 of 6 pro passes (Joe had 5) including the Deep Lob (Bomb)
3. We have a versatile amazingly talented RB Corps led by 10 yds/completion John Emery
4. We have a highly skilled superfreak TE & third down (low-bullet pass) target
5. Myles Brennan has the best low bullet in CFB today. The chains are gonna move

Folks with their Heads Stuck Up their CULUS need to get with this new offense evolution and realize we are in year Two and going toward 60% passing average from 54% and also increasing number of our plays with

A) Better Dee that results in more 3&outs
B) Quicker Up Tempo game to maul dees that are outmanned at key positions

We’re gonna phuck teams to death in 2020 with hurry up and no substitution until you quit and that means FAKE AN INJURY or call a Time Out

Agree with you and good post, take it a little farther and since your into it give us the break down from 1st half and 2nd half. Also ranked opponents vs non ranked so we can see the game plan against the better teams. This would be interesting.

Some of the games were out of reach and how did we mix it up when we had the game in the bag vs weaker teams.

With a game in the bag, LSU always lets off the gas* — Orgeron doesn’t run up scores!

That’s when we:
•Run a lot more
•Run that 40 second play clock down
•Dilute the passing first game plan

*MSU and Alabama games a classic example

726 points scoring / 15 = 48.4 ppg
21 — 21 — 10 — 03 — GA So
03 — 17 — 03 — 22 — TEX
03 — 21 — 27 — 14 — VAN
28 — 10 — 21 — 07 — NW LA
07 — 14 — 14 — 07 — UT ST
07 — 14 — 14 — 07 — FLA
03 — 19 — 14 — 00 — MSU
00 — 10 — 06 — 07 — AU
10 — 23 — 00 — 13 — Bama
14 — 17 — 13 — 14 — Ole Miss
07 — 21 — 21 — 07 — AR
21 — 10 — 10 — 09 — aTm
14 — 03 — 17 — 03 — GA
21 — 28 — 07 — 07 — OK
07 — 21 — 07 — 07 — CLEM

Average scoring is 182 points or 12.1/Qtr
166-249-184-127=726
Summary Scoring:

LSU scored 166 points in First Qtr (Av 11)

LSU annihilated opponents with 249 second quarter points, taking control of every game by the half (Av 17)

So LSU averaged 28 ppg by halftime

Third Quarter scoring 184 was near 182 av
(12.2 ppg)

Fourth Qtr scoring was obviously reduced to cruise control only 127 total points (8.5 ppg)

Second half scoring was only 21 ppg

LSU EASILY COULD HAVE SCORED OVER 100 TDS (NOT 95)

LSU could have scored 56+ points a game not 48.4

I don’t know whose alter this is, but I’ve never bought that he played for LSU in the 50s. Nothing about the way he posts suggests he’s 80 years old.

85 years old! And It’s obvious this forum knows nothing about QBing from all the negative crap about Myles, a once-in-a-gen QB
