Year 2 LSU Spread & Shred — New Bar = 500 ypg Passing
Posted by PokeyTiger on 6/14/20 at 4:07 pm790
Impressed w/300 ypg passing — Forget it!
Impressed w/400 ypg Passing — Forget it!
Impressed w/500 ypg Passing —Talk to me!
Year 1 Evolution to a 60% Pass First Attack, it’s roots in a failed LSU 34% Pass Game in 2017/2018, is clearly illustrated below:
Vs GSU — 39 Pass + 33 Rush = 72 plays
*STAT: 54% passes @ 350 yds w/ 5 TDs
*ironically a GSU opener almost mirrored
2019 Season Averages:
54% Pass—74 plays—402 yds—4 TDs
However, as a season ended, LSU kicked it up a gear, these stats seemingly forgotten!
Year 2 Evolution & 2020 Expectations can be envisioned in Playoff Stats as follows:
1. Vs OK—42 Pass + 31 Rush = 73 plays
58% passes @ 532 yds w/ 7 TDs
2. Vs Clem—49 Pass + 30 Rush = 79 plays
64% passes @ 463 yds w/ 5 TDs
Summary Average Last Two Games:
152 plays—91 passes—995 yards—12
Stats Rounded up to easiest big number!
The New Passing Stat Template for 2020
Noteworthy is the additional time (weeks) to develop game plans for playoff games.
Coach O has implemented 2020 preseason strategy to have all basic Offensive game plans made for 2020 opponents in Advance (New Winning Strategy)
75+ (76) plays per game
46 passes per game (60% Passing)
500 yards per game (995/2=498)
6 TDs per game
Sean Payton LSU Hybrid Passing Attack Holy Grail = 60% Passing, not 54%! Make no mistake, LSU has arrived
Can you envision a 2020 season with 60% passing (as needed) to decimate opponents
Should Myles only achieve 80% of these new bar goals at 60% passing, that’s still:
75+ plays per game
46 passes per game (60% Passing)
400 yards per game (500x.8)
4.8 TDs per game (6x.8)
Are you not entertained!
If not, you will be! Mark this well.

I liked you better as Buckeye Jeaux.

How about score enough to win the next one? Then repeat that task as much as possible for the remainder of the season.

I can't believe you wasted that much time and energy typing out that bulshit

For the rest before Jim Beam, I’m sure I’m casting pearls before Swine, lol.
For Jim Beam:
Your coaches averaged 46 passes in the 2 Playoff Games having 2-3 weeks to develop game plans! You don’t have to be in favor of 46 passes a game! Your coaches overruled you and they called those 46 Pass plays, 43 vs OK and 49 vs Clemson.
Get used to it — That’s 60% Passing and Pass first sets up explosive plays (runs)
Get used to it — We still had the leading RB rusher in SEC with Clyde Edwards Helaire

We are not likely to see a passing game as efficient as 2019. BUT, we can get 300+ passing yards and win most games.

Thinking small — That’s applying a 60% factor to Myles Brennan
Do you really believe schitt you’re shovelin’ Here that Myles can ONLY achieve 60% of Joe’s Production (300 ypg) with 60% passes
The LSU coaches would laugh in your face if they heard such ludicrous BS

I don’t know whose alter this is, but I’ve never bought that he played for LSU in the 50s. Nothing about the way he posts suggests he’s 80 years old.

I have been greatly entertained by this Pokey fella.
It's very similar to the 2019 offseason Tiger Ree posts, yet Pokey is not mean spirited.
Also, after last season, it's ok to be a wild optimist like Pokey, whereas Ree had to deal with his share of the remaining anti-O's.

I’m not being an optimist.
I’m seeing our offense for exactly what it is and capable of doing. Nobody is within TWO YEARS of touching us!
CFB new age stats are the basis of our offensive domination — This season we have a stronger armed QB with a true vertical game threat. Joe had a 55 yard arm. Myles has an NFL 70+ yard arm with better velocity.
Myles has the best low bullet in CFB. Period!
Watch him hit those low bullets to TEs & WRs on possession downs to move the chains. He’s deadly. Watch our third down rates increase this year with great TE Targets
Brennan will also push the record for MOST 400 YARD GAMES in a season in 2020 with LSU posting 60% passing on 75+ plays per game. I see 10 games w/400+ yards passing
45 + passes a game — Get used to it
We’re playing Sean Payton ball and we ain’t fkg around

Research USC with White and Bush.......That’s what your gonna see this coming year....
With Davis-Price,Curry,and Emery....
WRs will be open because the threat of the running game is gonna keep Ds honest....
Kinda ole school LSU.....but with a QB that can sling it.
Myles is about to frick up the SEC and I love it.
