The 1958 one was ten years before I was born, but here's a photo of Dad's '57 T-Bird with the LSU tag from '58 on the front. T-Bird is still in the family after Dad passed in '93. In his will he stated that the LSU tag was NEVER to be removed from the front - even when the car was to be restored.

Remember back to '58, when I was 5 yo. Only radio we had was in my Dad's 1953 Studebaker, so my older brothers, older sister, and me sat in the car and listened to the Tigers on Saturday nights. I was in 7th heaven hanging with my brothers.
