I do not see why there are such strong critics.

Factor in what the ex-AD and ex-President did to our HC and recruiting, I think Will Wade should be supported and commended.

When WW will be able to remove the “cuffs and manacles”, imagine what he will do!! Think he will forget the critics and naysayers? I think he may leap to a place where he will be appreciated by ALL.

People are frustrated with the same issues over and over. He’s a great coach obviously. I’m at the point that I think the players either don’t or are incapable of doing what he’s asking. He seems exacerbated

The people insinuating he can’t coach are either against him for some reason or willfully ignorant. You don’t go from 2 SEC wins to an SEC championship in 2 years without knowing how to coach. I hope Wade stays here his entire career, dude is gonna win some basketball games.

I think this is overlooked too much

Wade lost out on Lester Quinones and others because of all that BS

After completely reshaping the roster, he’s already won a regular season SEC championship, been to a sweet 16 (even if our asshat of an AD didn’t let him on the sidelines), has us in the race for back to back SEC titles, has a top 10 recruiting class, and will put us in the NCAA tourney in back to back seasons for the first time in who knows how long.

All of this to say, what the frick are you talking about? The man clearly is getting results at a place where several others failed.

That can’t be. A few of the Rant’s resident John Wooden’s say we just play street ball with no structure.

the ignorant fans who can’t stand him being better than every major sport coach at LSU are simply jealous. They know that when it’s all over people will see bc when he leaves for intelligent fans, LSU will be back to where it was - mediocre coaches in major sports.

Remind me...who is not an improvement over Johnny Jones?
If that’s the bar....not many would trip over that hurdle.

Better than every major sport coach? I like WW, but let’s not get too far ahead of the results on the court. Football just won national title. So, before you crown WW “better than every major sport coach”— shouldn’t he get close to a national title?

This is a message board. 10-20 posters can swing a mood on any subject... There can be 100K posters out there sitting on their hands not GAF about the thread and it looks like a mass opinion. Often seems to be the same posters mostly

Def put a damper on the initial signing period also imo, imagine our play and record with with one of those two recruits or more likely both of them good God!

He’s light years ahead of Johnny Jones. The thing that needs improvement the most is the fans and the arena. Crowd still looks like we’re having another 2-16.

He’s got his strengths and weaknesses like any damn head coach. Overall, he’s outstanding and his record here tells you that when you factor in what he inherited in terms of talent, culture, and infrastructure.

Now, as far as why you’ve got assholes here who don’t like the guy? I’ll take a stab at it.

He’s young, he’s brash, he’s very successful and he’s an outsider. You’ve got some people who are highly threatened by those things. They play the morality police card bc it’s an easy go to on this topic while conveniently overlooking an awful lot of facts about the entire smear campaign along with a preponderance of evidence related to exactly what is going on all over college athletics. Hell they are totally silent about the OLOL scandal involving football lmao.

Yet they can’t wait to take a jab at Coach Wade. I’m also gonna bet that most of them don’t attend the games, but they’re the vocal minority.

The good news? Will Wade is the reason joe Alleva is done here and a huge part of why King Alexander is gone. If you don’t think the man has the complete support of anyone who matters, then you’re kidding yourselves.

So to the pirate queen, iPod queen, dukkev, chinoyang, tntigerman, and others I’d just tell you to sit down, shut up, and enjoy it bc Coach Wade will be here as long as he wants to be. Oh and if y’all really want to smile, wait til you see Coach Wade’s latest recruiting class.
