Was a freshman All American a couple of seasons ago. Had a couple of good years.

Really a talented safety and a big loss for WVU.

It almost makes too much sense to use the last scholly on this kid considering how O has talked about the safeties.

He’s better than anything we have right now also

Don’t know why he’s transferring.

No. Dontae Wright coached the safeties in 2020.

UGA hired WVU cornerbacks coach Jahmile Addae on Jan. 27. Smith's close connection with Addae might play a role in his transfer decision.

Tykee Smith was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award. Pro Football Focus ranked him No. 24 on their list of 100 best players of 2020.

Prior to Todd Harris getting hurt in the Texas game, he should have earned the nickname “toast” and since he returned he hasn’t been any better.

If people think that Todd Harris is one answer to our safety concerns, they are wrong watch and see. I hope he plays up to the potential and hype he had going into college, but past performance makes it seem unlikely.

Go get an upper class man that can ball out at safety and teach these two incoming freshmen how to play the position! That will help this year and also for the foreseeable future with the young studs coming in!
