Miles took the Kansas job and hired an OC with a power running spread concept and averages 40 PPG in his first year.

Granted BIG 12 defenses but still would you be pissed?

For the record, I thought it was his time to go and I like things O is doing but obviously not happy with our current offense.

I think it's likely he has success on offense because like you said...Big 12

Don't know what type of offense that will be

Hopefully he doesn't attempt to bring Cameron with him for his sake

I wished he would get a better job honestly. However I will cheer and watch Kansas

Since everyone in the Big 12 runs spread and teams are built to defend that maybe Miles does well there being the only pro set team.

I’m sure his offense will do well once he gets some horses in the stable. The key to his success will be a defense that can get stops.

He won't have the personnel to run a pro style. He could win here with that offense, he can't do that at Kansas and he will not if he is the coach there. He will adjust his scheme to his players.

This is assuming he has a defense to slow down the spread teams, he isn't running out an sec defense. How will his style of offense keep pace with the B12 scoring offenses? He will have to go spread

Miles trying to run a modern Big 12 style offense (not the style when he was there 15 years ago) is going to be laughable. He's going to tell his players to run a pitch dive, and they are going to look at him and say "what the frick is that?"

Kinda burnt out on these "what if" threads. Personally I don't give a damn what any previous coach does elsewhere. I just care about what we do going forward.

So what if a Les Miles coached KU team beat LSU like a drum utilizing the spread offense he failed to implement here? Would you give a damn then???

I wouldn't be pissed. He's familiar with the Big 12. His style, though old school, worked well at Okie State. He put them on the map and paved the way for Gundy. He split wins with Stoops' powerhouse Sooner teams of the early 2000s. And that was (like during his LSU years) mostly without great QB play. The Big 12 had no answer for his overly complex ground game and blocking schemes then, and they likely still won't now.

I hope he lights it up over there and turns the Big 12 upside down. Coach is a great man and I wish him all the best. It was time for him to leave here, but he's not finished doing what he loves. And it has to feel good not seeing Auburn, MSST, Alabama and Florida on the schedule every single year.
