Maybe in the middle of the season or maybe towards the end of a dud. Would it be best for the program. Not sure.

I'm just not sure how the attitude is salvaged.

Preseason #1 ... now this ... I can never trust again.

Arkansas is doing to us what we did to them in 09 in Omaha.

I mean are you watching this team? Hasn’t he already quit?

It’s looking more and more like he already has.

Only because Mainieri insisted this team was great - 3 recruiting classes and all of that.

Are you talking about Paul, or the ratings services?

He should retire. The team he coaches is not playing well and his leadership is non existent. There comes a time when you realize you’ve lost your edge, unless your ego is too much to handle.

No I mean step down as coach. Like admits he can do nothing to help.

My grandson's basketball coach did that. Was a good coach but only when there were all-star players. Once the all-stars graduated and his team had any adversity or competition, he stopped going to practices, then quit with about two weeks left to go in the season.

It was good because they got a better coach who could actually coach and the program rebounded quickly.

He doesn’t care anymore. He’s just cashing a paycheck. He shows no emotion whatsoever. He has quit and so have his players

That shows a very definite lack of character. As a coach, you NEVER quit on your kids. It sets a horrendous example. If you can’t handle a little adversity, you have no business coaching.
