When that photo with Clyde was taken, do you think Woodward knew he had CBK signed, sealed and delivered?
Quite interesting to compare the timing of that photo with all of the rumors that were flying around at the time.

Kelly said they showed interest early, then pulled back. Then came at him late and fast. After that was taken I believe.

Funny thing is is I saw woody at Bowie outfitters buying a shotgun the week that we were supposedly hiring Lincoln Riley.. guess he was buying one for this trip!!

There's no way that Woody thought we were getting Lincoln Riley. He wouldn't have had time to lock in a coach like BK that quickly.
I do believe he went after Riley. However, Riley made it pretty clear that he didn't want the SEC. So, when the rumors of Riley to LSU came out, I would be that both Riley and LSU let those go to hide the directions both were going.

They were in communication early in the season last year. Kelly and Woodward. Then Woodward backed off apparently.
This is why we should all love Woodward. Let’s assume he did think Riley was done (and we have no evidence of that). He had communicated with so many people and had so many back up plans if it fell through. This is what presumably happened with Jay Johnson.
