There was a clause in O's contract that if he wins the natty = he gets paid. I think it was either as you stated or I think it is the average of the top 5 coaches, or something like that.

Read this fellas. This guy knows what's up.

And, to add, do I think O is worth it now? Hell no, but unfortunately they can not undo contract language. Now, there are many things also written in that contract that can disqualify some or all of the buyout.

It's something he did. It's an inarguable notation.

You really have no idea how all this works, do you?
Or you're just trolling, which makes you look worse.

I'll never understand how giving a raise to a national championship winning coach is somehow a valid criticism of an AD.

How about criticizing the guy who actually hired him and gave him a contract in the first place after doing a half-assed coaching search?

Not sure why he gets a free pass on this one.

CONTRACT wording he was not responsible for, that's how he gets a pass.

Are you trying to argue if Woodward gave the raise? He most certainly did as was required by Ed's contract. I feel I shouldn't have to explain this, so the rest is up to you to figure out.

One would think that getting the chance to hire a football coach factored into his decision to take the job.

I trust in him and in his process.

I think he made a mistake with O’s buyout. I can understand rewarding him for 2019 and a raise but the buyout was not necessary because nobody would have ever gone after O

In your career if you made one mistake is that all we should judge you by? No. But, honestly he didn’t make a mistake in that situation. Y’all are just refusing to look at it in the right way.
