It is completely outdated and needs to be gutted or totally demolished and start from scratch. Its a piece of shite.

It's true. Raze the PMAC and renovate cow palace.

Perhaps a remodel, but nothing wrong with the structure. They just built a great practice facility connected to it.

That would've actually worked this past year. There would've been plenty of room for the LSU hoops crowd at the U High gym.

I always kinda wished the PMAC looked like a bigger version of the cow palace. It's really not an aesthetically pleasing building

you do know it takes multiple years for a non basketball school to come up with the money for a new arena, right?

When Clemson as renovating their stadium they moved all their games 20 miles up the road to Greenville and used their arena. Can the river center be used as a basketball arena with a few thousand seats?

PMAC itself is fine.

The inside configuration of the PMAC is garbage. Seats too far from the court. Press row is in a retarded spot. Stupid to have tables set up on both sidelines. Student section retractable bleachers take up too much room.

LSU just needs to dome Tiger Stadium and use it for both football and basketball

River Center holds 10,400, according to wikipedia.

Would be plenty big enough. Would be a cool scene having some games downtown, too.

Right, the structure is fine. The inside could be gutted.

Doesn't need to be replaced

I'd like for them to figure out a way to get the seats closer to the court though.

Will you be first in line to write a multi-thousand dollar check to help pay for a new facility?

Never got the hate for the PMAC. First started going to games in the mid-2000's when I first became interested in basketball and I've always loved the place. It rocks when there's a good crowd, building a new venue will certainly not magically make the atmosphere any better.
