With other sec teams with losing records in good bowl games

Why didn't they opt out? I bet their fans aren't saying it was time to hang it up, skip a bowl or reset . Sad that the kids are being punished for dirty adult actions that have nothing to do with them..what a black eye to the program...
Congrats to Arkie, kentucky, ole miss, miss state, mizzu and well usce would have played in one ....all had losing records or .500 record and choose a bowl game for their program for a chance to build for next year..great job....I guess our idiot fans disagree with all the teams playing too eh? Gtfoh

Why would we play, so we can see you melt, once we give up a score or two. End the season on a high note. Playing would prolong our coach searches. Plus, do it now... with the likes of it not being done when we have a winning record. Im sure you'd be saying.."Why didn't we do it during the covid season....FIRE EVERYBODY!!"

No we gave up Bowl because of the selfishness/ncaa illegal activity of adults(money trading hands to parents of players) when this is about these kids...it got stolen from them by greedy people. However according to the idiot fans here excluding any wrong doing we shouldn't have gone anyway to a Bowl. Well ALL of the sec teams I mentioned above decided to go and their fans are EXCITED for their team...we have idiots in our mist..

I haven’t been following it close but LSU is opting out this year from bowl games in hopes that they will not be banned from future bowl games that may matter

You guys love saying this. You know those extra practices can still lead to poor play. With Bo, E, Lenihan...its a 50/50 chance we could end with a losing record. But, none of that matters, as long we got those "extra practices" in. Im all for getting getting on with our coaches search. We'll practice in 2 months. CEO has shite to do.

There is very little extra practice this year for the bowl games. Regular season ended the 19th a few days off for Christmas and straight into bowl opponent game preparation/practice.
In a normal season they have month plus off between the last regular season game and a bowl game.

these young men have gone through hell...those who stayed deserve a special place in the memories of all tiger fans!!!
this has turned out to be a much shrewder move than it originally looked with the NCAA
also, roster strength is at a minimum...look at the effect moving all the young players to the starting lineup had on special teams!!!
they needed the opportunity to go home, be with their families, and get some much needed rest...and start working on their academics...
