I see no scenario where we aren’t rated ahead of Georgia after SEC championship....unless they beat Bama.

Don’t get what bowl predictors are doing?

Win and get some sugar is what should be said all week!!!

If they beat Bama then I can't imagine the committee leaving Bama out of the playoffs (even if they have bump the Big 10 champ out to do it).

In that case LSU would maybe go to the Sugar Bowl even with a loss to A&M. Nonetheless, beat A&M and remove all doubt. It doesn't have to be the Sugar, I would just like to see LSU play in a more meaningful bowl game.

Playoff committee could decide that 11-1 regular season for UGA is better than 10-2 regular season for LSU and keep UGA ahead of LSU even with a loss to Bama (assuming UGA doesn't get stomped).

Not saying I agree with that, but it's not totally crazy.

You realize their is another final poll after championship games In which 11-2 Georgia and 10-2 LSU would be up for debate? And I don’t see a 20 point loss helping their debate.

They will if UGA is ranked higher, and they'd absolutely want UGA over LSU from a money making perspective.

Doesn't matter what the Sugar Bowl wants or doesn't want, highest rated SEC team in the final CFP rankings goes.

That doesn't change math.

11-1>10-2

11-2 due to an extra game for being so successful >10-2 while sitting at home.

Head to head is usually reserved for breaking ties.

Hotels, restaurants, etc. UGA fans will spend way more money than locals.

How does this very obvious fact get 4 downvotes? Lot of sidewalk fans in this thread.

I don't see LSU getting into a NY6 bowl game with a 9-3 record. If we lose to A&M, we're more than likely headed to one of the second tier Florida bowls.

Everyone is predicting Florida in a NY6 bowl with three losses...OM won the Sugar with 3 losses. Think we still have a shot if we lose to Aggie.

Well the logic we are all using with LSU/Georgia is that if we both finish with 2 losses, and we won head to head, we should be ranked higher. So by that logic, if LSU and Florida both finish 9-3, good chance the committee ranks Florida ahead of us, and thus they have the shot at Fiesta or Peach instead of us

I'd prefer Fiesta (with the caveat that UCF loses), just to go somewhere new as a bowl trip.

While it doesn't have quite the prestige as Rose/Sugar it's still a legacy BCS bowl game.

Scottsdale/Phx are fun times.

I do. Georgia plays bama tighter than any other team all season. Bama wins in the final minute. Georgia stays at #5. LSU is a lock to get the at large bid for the peach or fiesta regardless though. I want the fiesta because LSU has never played in it. Ohio state vs LSU in the fiesta bowl would be badass!

I don’t know how much recruiting LSU tries to do out West but it would be a great opporunitity to showcase LSU to the west coast. I understand AZ is mountain but it’s stil very close to CA which is loaded with talent.

All Georgia needs to do is to keep the game closer than LSU did against Bama and it has a very good chance to get ranked higher than LSU in the final poll, even if they lost to us in BR. You can hear it now: 1) overall body of work higher than LSU which had several close games against inferior competition; 2) Georgia would beat LSU at a neutral site.
