Willie is a good kid from a great family. All the best to him.

I’ve met him and he always seemed nice to me, but something just seems off with bouncing around to different schools.

in somewhat related news, Donovaughn Campbell is La Tech's starting LT apparently. wow. good for him.

Transferred to TCU first IIRC

ETA- LSU blocked the TCU transfer in 2017

He was used to blocking only for the veer in high school. Very few Curtis linemen pan out in college.

I thin kthe surprising thing here is why would Michigan take Willie Allen, are they that desperate this late in the cycle to take a transfer?

PFF graded Allen out at 66.1 which is average last season at LT for LaTech. He didn't start in 2018 there either.

LATech only played 2 P5 teams last season and his grades weren't good in both games:

Texas: 48.2
Miami(Fl): 58.1

Donavaughn Campbell has been playing LT in his place this season

That's because they were actively recruiting players on our roster at the time. We blocked his transfer instead of turning them in for tampering.

Good move is he's thinking of going to business school. If they want to take him, why not?

Willie is one of the nicest, most humble guys I have ever met. I wish him nothing but the best.

He may be nice but he’s made a string of bad decisions that cost him a championship and likely starting position at LSU.

Random story but I actually drove Willie home from Tigerland one night my freshman year.

I was DD’ing for a friend and he walks up to the car with Willie right behind him. He introduced himself and said his friends ditched him at the bar and he didn’t have a ride home so I told him to hop in.

Seemed like a friendly guy. Hope he has success at Michigan.

Sounds to me like somebody who can't make a commitment.
