Williams should have been the featured running back

Don't understand why he wasn't. Guice couldn't get going. The bigger power back seems a better choice.

How many yards did Guice end up with?

Williams only carried 7 times for 83 yard but 54 of that came on 1 play. works out to 12 YPC but if you take out that 1 run in which he was virtually untouched until tackled at the 2, it's 29 yards on 6 carries for 4.8 ypc. Williams has 2 catches for 7 yards. Total yards on 9 touches, 90.

Guice was 19 carries 71 yards his longest 9. That's 3.7 ypc. I think if Guice gets that hole willians got, he gets in the end zone on that carry. Guice had 5 catches for 29 yards. Total yards on 24 touches, 100

The numbers per touch definately favored Williams but how much of that is because of Williams being fresher at the back end of the game? I don't think it matters much who was featured, but I can see your point.

Williams also had a 50 yard run, so the numbers are skewed. Williams is solid, but Guice is your best back.

I said the same thing and these idiots downvoted and told me he was too slow to be featured against Bama

It felt like we were running Guice into the ground. I don't get why honestly. Williams has been a much more productive back and Guice hasn't been healthy for long.

It's not why we lost, that's because we never seem to have anyone at the qb spot when we really need them. But it does make you wonder what's going on with running Guice constantly in the ground.

IMO, Coach O took back over the offense early if not before the game started. How many more times did Williams run after he broke that run? 1? I don't feel like watching it again but I'm sure someone knows. We conceded the loss half way through the 2nd quarter coaching wise.

I appreciate the players that didn't give up with the coaching staff and made it closer than their own coaches thought it would be.
