True or false? And if you don’t agree, say who you think is the greatest LSU coach ever. This obviously is a way too early claim but you can just feel the energy and excitement he brings to this program. Something is brewing.

Will. Fricking. Wade.

Yeah, definitely the potential to be greatest hoops coach ever, gonna be tough to pass Bertman, Saban and Miles though, but hope he can at least make it to the point where he's listed among those names.

Also, curious as to what y'all think he'd have to do to become the GOAT for both hoops and any sport.

I know it’s way too early. I stated it. With the way things are going, I’m basically asking does he have the potential to be the best?

I'd argue the answer to this is yes:

1. He's young so if he stays he can build his "empire" so to speak
2. He's obviously a fantastic motivator
3. He recruits his arse off as seen in his first class and now his first "full" class.
4. His X's and O's are good

ETA: I'd add a "?" to the end of your thread title for the reading impaired

I pressed the red button. We won’t even win the NIT.

So because we don't win the NIT in year one it's not possible?

LSU BB under Wade hasn't even made the NCAA dance yet. Yes, he's young and everyone seems to like him but that's as far as it goes.

Best LSU BB coach ever? Pokey Chatman, then Dale Brown.

Skip Bertman won 5 national championships and helped popularize the sport of college baseball in the south. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
