Most impressive new hire I can remember in any sport as far as first impressions go. He's just straight killling it on the recruiting trail and doing everything else right so far too.

Probably so. This is a team that no one will see coming. I suspect they'll lose some games that they should win but I wouldn't count them out for making the tourney. Maybe a 10 or 12 seed?

You'd be amazed how quickly a team can change when they actually put forth effort playing defense. Having someone that can teach them helps too.

I see us being a team on the bubble.

I don't think saying they probably won't make the tournament equates to counting them out. Wade has done some great things to make this into a decent roster based on what he had coming back and on his recruiting efforts since taking the job. I still think it's pretty crazy to just assume they'll make the tourney. There are still a lot of holes in the roster and the SEC has gotten tougher. I have the utmost faith Wade will get us there in short order but I don't think it's by any means a given we'll make the tourney in year one. I think reasonable expectations for this team is to hover around .500 in the SEC and make the NIT. I think we can all agre we'll see a vastly better product than what we saw last year.

He's done a lot of work with the roster already, when it would've been easy to write off 2018 as a rebuilding year. The bubble is usually softer than people think it will be, so with everything he's done so far, making the NCAA wouldn't surprise me. Hard to believe I'm even saying that after last year.

With the added teams the bubble is much softer, its a lot lot easier to make it than most people realize for a large P5 school. At the end of the day the NCAA is truly a business, and if we are neck and neck with directional group of five, or smaller conference school, we will get in because of the TV ratings. Just how it is in life.

the guards really really need to set the world on fire to make the postseason, cause our big men are no good.

that being said, our guards have some talent, it just needs to be tapped into. We will see Wade's worth very early on

The main goal this year is actually making a tournament. It's pathetic that two years in a row that LSU hasn't made it to the postseason in basketball. Wade so far has me very excited about the team, but right now LSU has a huge rebuilding process and I don't expect them to be world beaters. I love that we have somebody that's young and has a ton of energy.

Most of the time it's not so much the horses but what you can get out of them. WW strikes me as the guy that knows how to do that.

The transfers he's brought in are all solid players and if we have guys like Reath and Sampson improve we can def make a run at it. When you have a couple of talented guys surrounded by ppl who simply do their jobs it can turn a team around very fast. The SEC isn't full of great teams standing in our way and all we need to do is finish in the top 4/5 to make the dance, we have an excellent coach and a team that's gone from very young to senior laden over the summer. I'm not saying it's set in stone but everything is trending upwards.

To most LSU fans, he'll be impressive until they lose a few games, then he'll just be another sack of shite they cant wait to see fired
