This is not a normal season, to say the least. Not sure how they plan on or if it’s possible to have a legit champion this season. I’m hoping we can prove that last season wasn’t a fluke, but we will be playing a lot of young players. All things considered, it may work to our benefit for next season since so many young guys will get significant playing time this season.

Regardless - Geaux Tigers!

It is possible to have a legit champion. PAC 12 wasn’t gonna compete for a championship anyway.

the only team you'd be missing is ohio state

I think we can’t foresee how this season will go, what if a teams O line has to be quarantined just before a game? Too many variables and unknowns.

Simple answer...yes....people will deny that until their team doesn’t win a title.

Think it’s safe to say if you beat Clemson and Bama then no in my book. The only other contender would be Ohio State

It’s an altered season from what would be a normal season so, yes. It will always have an asterisk beside it.

Team statistics alone will be completely changed by the shorter season and no cupcake games (for SEC teams anyway. Clemson still gets to sleep walk their way into the playoffs).

You can bet that if the season had been canceled, Bama would have claimed another title to add to their asterisk trophy case.

Yes, because of the historical significance. As for fans, only the ones that are disappointed in how it ended. To the fans of the teams that make and win the playoff, no. I liken it to how fans see those vacated USC titles and the Fab 5 era. Historically neither exist any longer but to my eyes both surely happened. I watched them unfold and that's what I remember. Same rules apply to this season for me.

As the hardest season ever? No cupcakes, brutal schedule every week, dealing with the anxiety of not knowing if/when you will lose anyone for a game or two due to protocols on top of normal bumps/bruises injuries.

Yeah...

The opt out part of it makes it hard to give it any credence.
Bama has no opt outs - get real.
LSU has four impact players opt out.

Whether the official record book reflects it or not and the winning team's supporters arguing against it, there will always be an asterisk.

Last night was awesome seeing football on TV...I think once you see LSU on TV on Sept 26, you are going to get pumped...and I truly hope the Big Ten sits out...screw them...

You play the teams on your schedule, just like every other year.
