An NCAA e-mail obtained by @YahooSports issues a "blanket waiver" to allow all FBS schools to start on Aug. 29, known as Week 0. The waiver was requested by Football Oversight Committee and will provide "additional flexibility" for schools navigating this season.

Doubt it
Would be really dumb for us not too

Play UTSA week 0, have a bye to rest players or quarantine players, and then play texas week 2

Playing week 1 instead leaves more chances to having players out vs texas

Then all players go home for Labor Day weekend with their families and get exposed to virus a week before Texas?

I’d keep the game in place which keeps the team on campus that week and weekend of Labor Day.

Even if we play, I don’t think we play the small non conference games. Our First game is going to be Texas or an SEC school under an all conference schedule.

Some small schools will likely make decisions to take big money to play a major school and then mix up playing each other the rest of the year.
Regardless how it goes at least we will have LSU football. The schedule process is gonna be very interesting.

Move the Nicholls State game to that date

-get two games in before Texas

-get a bye in between Ole Miss & Florida

I’d be willing to bet If there is football this season, LSU will be playing week 0.

If we have a full non-conference slate this is the best idea I’ve seen yet.

10 conference games with an OOC game

Most schools will play big OOC opponent for TV revenue as early as possible, so if anyone gets virus, they can quarantine 2 weeks prior to conference play

Conference play will include bye weeks in each half of the season to makeup any postponements
