We seem to have luck with transfers.

Jennings is clearly never going to play another down barring injury.

I remember over the spring/summer when he transferred people saying on the recruiting board he wasn't good and couldn't do it at Purdue, etc.

Everyone was so pumped up about Harris (and it could have been anyone besides Jennings.) it didn't matter.

But no. I don't think he can

I hope either he or McMillan can give Harris a serious push. Hopefully some competition will light a fire under at least one of their asses.

No, don't think he will challenge Harris. I think we remain "invested" in Harris as our QB.

Harris isn't terrible and I won't turn on him just yet. Dude has a great arm, but has got to stop throwing high and getting his receivers killed. Also, take some of the sauce off the short passes. No need to throw a fastball on a screen or a 5 yard crossing pattern. With that being said, he can be developed...I just dunno if that's possible under Miles.

Yes, Harris desperately needs competition from a lot more than Jennings, and include the QB recruit in the 2016 class hopefully, though it is very tough for a true frosh to usually be effective immediately.

Also, does anyone think there is a good chance Jennings will transfer? Apologies, if Germans, haven't been on much this week until today.

The luck we have with transfer QB's is that they have been developed by someone else. B Harris was one of the most sought after QB's in the Country. WE have him, now DEVELOPE him. Of course he was a top duel threat QB and we are not using him to his strength but as a drop back QB to run a dinosaur Offense. Square peg in a round hole. IT's LSU these days ,we have the talent for 4-3 defense and Miles hires a 3-4 guy and we go from 2nd in points allowed to 47th

A coach (HS)who is close to program said harris won't be starter by game 2. I assume it's because of Etling. Unless McMillan suprised all of us. Tifwiw. I will say he's a legit poster

If Etling has playbook knowledge, can read defenses, can quickly process information, can accurately throw short and Medium range passes with touch, then why the frick wouldn't he challenge Harris?

Maybe he'll turn out to be another Mett. Our WR's would love to have a QB that can get them the ball!

Oh wait, he can't run fast. Never mind!

I think BH did enough to remain the starter. but it would be awesome if Etling could be good enough to challenge for the job or at least give us some quality depth.
Didn't he play as a freshman at Purdue? He must be pretty decent at least.

Any transfer besides Mett?

I am not giving up on Harris. He just needs to settle the frick down.

If Harris doesn't get challenged by somebody we'll be really good or really bad
