wtf? I played college ball, and after I cleaned out my locker the week after my last game, I don't think I talked to my coach again until a few years later when I visited campus.

I think Miles might have a few more pressing concerns, atm.

Recruiting is tanking, and he is trying to stop it from taking on water.

That is why players are mad. They were not put in position to win this game. The greatest season in LSU history is tarnished by bad coaching. The SR's didnt want to go out like that, obviously

You are partially correct.

The gameplan went horribly wrong. But, it went wrong because the offensive line was dominated by Alabama's defensive line. Everything in the gameplan, as it has been all year, was predicated off of the running game.

To pretend that all the coaching staff had to do was call a few different plays, play a different QB, or run the plays that were part of the game preparation is basically ignorant.

We were beaten physically in that game. Alabama took away our strength without sending extra guys in the box. AND, they consistently pressured the QB (a QB who has a history of being unable to make plays from the pocket) as well.

Nobody likes to get beat down. And, everybody wants to find a reason. But, the bitching and moaning on this board are a result of people refusing to admit the obvious...we were physically dominated in the game.

He packed on some pounds so it would hurt more to stomp on Bama D line's hands. Sounds like he was staying in shape during the 5 weeks between SEC and BCS.

Love how Les found time to meet with each returning player, flew to RR's house, flew to RS's house, yet Lee and Blackwell both say that they haven't heard from Miles in 16 days. Because he's too busy recruiting.

How dare he try to build next year's team

Especially with 1/4 of those days being dead time. Miles is doing more damage to recruiting by letting feelings from Hebert, DP, Lee and Blackwell fester and get aired.

I mean how regular is it for Miles to call every outgoing senior? I doubt it happens that much. The returning player session is an annual thing with every program. RR and RS were guys who still have eligibility left. And yes there is recruiting to be done because LSU football hasnt ended because will blackwell and Jarrett Lee left (it may have for you but not to everyone else). Its a tough thing to get used to as a former player but its something every senior football player has had before. Once its done there is a new guy in your place who the coach has to worry about

nevermind that Blackwell hardly said anything worth clamoring about.

Wrong.

Blackwell was quoted the day after the game in The Advocate as saying "we picked the wrong one" when asked about the QB situation.

You sure about that? If its not then thats in fact an even more reason to cut him some slack because hes been much busier this offseason then the years prior...

so you think we had a good offensive gameplan?

LE...it doesn't matter what I think about the offensive game plan. we just plain didn't get it done "on the field" against, if you listen to the media, an nfl quality defense. the staff put together what they thought was our best chance at success and they certainly were not going to scap what had been unbeatable just because we were down 9pts at the half. we'd seen this before and we always did something to make the other team fold but on 1-9-12 and to their credit...bama would not allow it. nobody, especially me, is happy with what went down but frick me if I'm going to turn my back to a staff that led LSU to the greatest football season in it's long history. this whole fricking debate is fricking absurd. JMHO.

When?

His "hindsight" comment was weak, if that is your reference.

Let's try to deal only in facts

1) The player meetings and flights to Houston and Bastrop were damage control. That is a fact. Miles not returning calls to Blackwell and Lee will become an error in judgement to that plan.

2) Miles vetoed 14 play calls in the BCS game. FOURTEEN. Overwhelmingly pass plays. Some players know this and don't understand why

3) Look for more unanswered questions on NSD

No shite. Preparing for next year's team is what he's supposed to do. I'm extremely happy he's out recruiting and not playing phone tag with players who ran out of eligibility.
