I really can’t wait to see him play. I think he will help our QB settle in as well.

If people would watch this video of him you would see how he knows and builds his team up. He spoke for about 30 sec on what he does best - the rest is building his team up.

This guys is going to be awesome - can feel it !!!

I agree with you about working with his QB. When you have a guy that can get open and catch the ball , it builds a QB up knowing that if his first look is at a guy that knows how to get open and can catch anything - 3rd and 7 becomes 1st down.

Yes I said get open and catch the ball twice and now I am saying it a 3rd time. It is what we have not been doing. Many Tiger fans are dogging CEO for bringing in a 70 plus year old coach who knows what ? How to teach WR's to get open and catch the ball. For close to 5 years we have been watching QB's almost jump to the 3rd read which on most passing plays is the go pattern. They give up on WR's breaking open because they have no confidence in the WR. Then it is fling it to the go route. The number 1# thing I will be watching in the spring game is for the passing play in the 12 to 25 yard range. Those plays have been missing at LSU. We have tons of short dump routes and 30 yard outs and go. Watch the Saints and what Drew does every week. TE , 1st read 8 yards outs , come backs 15 yards down on the sideline. This is what I want to see Steve bring to LSU.

He gets criticized too much on here. He has 2 career fumbles and all the sudden he is fumble prone.

2 fumbles on 46 attempts (1 per 23) is not great, but LSU, as a team had 15 fumbles on 459 (1 per 30) attempts in 2016. Not much better. But we still had a very effective rushing attack.

He'll definitely get his chance this year and hopefully we'll all be pleasantly surprised.

but I think most of it is that people are just tired of seeing his posts. So any time his name pops up, no matter what he says, people are like, “damn-this guy again.”

Yes we know the majority of posters here are immature and act like they're still in high school

I agree with you, Jerry Sullivan is going to have a huge impact on the wr's this year. This is probably the most physically gifted group of recievers in the country. If Coach Sullivan can teach the recievers how to beat press coverage and run precise routes, the sky will be the limit for this offense.

I agree - he is running around out there at practice and I am 66 years old still working 40 plus a week.

The folk saying why hire a 70 year old person have to admit that not all 70 year old's are equal

My guess is that Jerry knows his stuff better than any other coach on staff - period !

I also assure you the greatest college coach in the game over in Bama-land would give great respect to Coach Jerry Sullivan.
