Why the hell did we hire Linehan to begin with?

Total headscratcher.

Is O threatened by young up-and-comers? Was he totally soured by the Canada experience?

At least Bo was a college coach who had a connection with the program. Linehan is old, in the NFL for the last 20 years, and no apparent connection either to O or to LSU.

And was fired from his previous job as an OC. It was a completely baffling hire. I would love to somehow know who we would have hired if it wasn't him, because the talk was all younger NFL assistants then he gets hired.

Because they didn’t trust a Ensminger to call an offense

We had 2 freshman QBs win SEC games

He was horrendous on 3rd and RZ was not very good, but I wouldn’t say he didn’t bring anything positive.

Considering how he botched the two biggest positions on your staff before, I would think someone would tell him that you're not going to keep getting the benefit of the doubt about this. At some point, you will either take your time and do a proper search and get out of your comfort zone and picks of buddies and yes men or else go down with them. Can't keep blowing 2-5 million/year in dead money because of his lazy hires. I'm just mad Woodward had to give that extension after the championship. No need for it.

Familiarity and comfort.

Plus, I think O resented Brady getting so much credit. He’s insecure.

Although I wasn’t a big fan of Aranda I think O resented him as well.

I think you are right about Brady and Aranda...Brady got too much credit and Aranda is so much smarter and more competent

Agreed the cowboys sucked. Coach O hopefully leearned his lesson you can't just hire someone with a "resume". He needs to get some young up and coming coaches who will work their asses and get the most out of these players.

bullshite. He would subconsciously be unable to talk about the coaches doing a great job every single time he opened his mouth ,if that was true.

Dude compliments the coaching staff more then anyone I've ever heard. That's not fake. If it is then hes a sociopath

He was not even top of the list. I think O went after Curtis Johnson from the Saints, but my guess is he saw the Saints had another playoff run in them and chose to stay on with Sean Payton and Saints. Of course the Curtis Johnson story originated with a reporter from one of TOS (I think the LSU247 site).

Because Os ego. He wanted to separate himself from brady and burrow and I dont understand why. I heard that O reached out to Brady for a list of recommendations. That list will include Munoz and Mangus. Say thing about that is both of those guys could still be here if not for Os ego. Epic fail by O and his big arse head
