Tell me how well that has worked for any team that does not allow the head coach to make recommendations. Look no further than Auburn, their staff was controlled by the boosters and AD bypassing the head coach. Auburn may likely become the next UT. Look at UT, they have done this for years as well. Is that the model you really want to follow. Our program would faulted so fast we would consistently be playing for the old AM spot in the SEC West.
Saban has full control, as well as Jimbo. Saban has been on top and Jimbo has A&M trending in the right direction.

We should not trust O. He should be fired at 3am on Christmas morning. We can all pray the chaplet of Divine Mercy for him exactly at its normal time of 3am. Then celebrate the rest of the day.
