Why not move the game to Provo, Utah and be done with it?

Instead of speculating if we can play in Houston. At the moment the only sport that can be played in Houston seems to be intramural water polo.
It almost feels like this is the Florida fiasco all over again.

Money has exchanged hands in many ways. Its complicated.

Surely they have a list of possiblities and by Tuesday they have the details ironed out. I do understand them wanting to wait at least until Monday or Tuesday to move the game. A lot goes into planning these neutral site games, a lot more hands in the cookie jar. It's not near as easy to just move the game.

That's what will end up happening.

Why aren't Tiger Stadium or NOLA viable?

They should be and a plan needs to happen now

BYU has a lot of leverage IMO.
If we play the game in BR or even Nola, they're probably going to want some sort of return trip. We won't want to do that. They gain a lot more by playing us again than we do by playing them again. Also, this decision will probably have to be made earlier in the week, and we won't be certain whether it could be raining all day Saturday in BR or not.
Also, BYU plays Hawaii this season, so they already have a 13-game schedule. Losing a game wouldn't matter as much to them as it would to LSU, who is in danger of losing one for the third consecutive season. There will be pressure from the fans and alumni base for this game to be played.

BYU went into Houston knowing it was a neutral game in name only. I'm not sure they have the leverage you think they do.

Forecast shows that BR could be impacted by this storm into next weekend. IMO, they wouldn't even risk the fact that they would play a game with that much rain in the area.

And BYU will use that as reasoning to not want to play down here.

LSP doesn't want it. You will already have a considerable amount of traffic from evacuees going to and from Texas. Coupling that with the additional traffic of a football game is a logistical nightmare.

LSP would love the opportunity for some overtime

We played the ASU game in 2005 when the pmac was a shelter. No excuse not to move it there. We will be punished all year in the rankings of it's not played
