Has anyone mentioned or brought this up? We know he can cover, not sure about his tackling ability, but I figured with his size he could at least give it a shot?

I like jay ward back there honestly

He’s more of a playmaker than a true cover guy imo anyway

I think they’re trying Adams because of his range. He can be an eraser back there with his speed.

Ward is the only corner Coach O would move to safety if needed

Because he only mentioned ward’s name if he needed to move a corner to safety so far

Probably just some spring moves to get them through spring ball. It all may not matter when the freshmen report in June. Sage Ryan for sure. Just saying.....

I’m glad we have Darren Evans for depth. Hope he can contribute at some level some time

Yes. Several of us don’t think he has enough speed to be an SEC corner, so safety might be a good position for him. He has good cover skills and athleticism, but fast receivers walk past him.

I did a couple weeks ago when I saw how big he’s gotten. He hit a little growth spurt this offseason and filled out a good bit. He’s probably 6’2” 205 now, perfect size for a safety. He can hide his average speed better there too.

You gotta be kidding me, I'm sorry but D. Evans is not SEC material. He should have stayed at NSU.

I told Coach I thought he would be an AA at safety. He is big, strong, fast and tackle well. He is also exceptionally intuitive. How many guys would think to jump in the air to bat that mall ti the other DB for that interception in the FL. Game?

Yeah I agree... I’m really trying to look at the bright side and try to convince myself that he was worth a scholly. We would really love to have an additional scholarship rn
